Innovation

We build green.

Sustainable building is not an upgrade. It is how we work. Energy-efficient framing, low-VOC finishes, and on-site waste sorting so less of every project ends up in a landfill. Better for your home, better for the GTA, and better long-term economics for the building.

05 / Why ELG

No middlemen.
No surprises.

A single design-build firm covering residential renovations, exterior and outdoor work, commercial & property services, and licensed mechanical trades across the Greater Toronto Area. Drawings through punch list, under one contract. One call, one schedule, one team accountable for the result.

Service area

Serving Toronto & the Greater Toronto Area.

Including North York, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, Thornhill, Mississauga, Brampton, and surrounding areas.

  • Licensed and WSIB-registered Provincial licence and WSIB clearance documented on every project.
  • Liability insurance Coverage certificate available before contract signing.
  • Fixed-price, itemized contracts Every line costed in advance. No allowance surprises mid-build.
  • In-house GTA crews The same team from Monday through Friday. No undisclosed subcontractors.
  • 01

    One call. Every trade.

Drawings, permits, framing, electrical, plumbing, tile, paint, and finish carpentry. No coordinating multiple subcontractors for a status update. ELG owns the schedule. You receive the keys at handoff.

  • 02

    Itemized quotes

Every quote breaks out labour, materials, timeline, and draw schedule, so it compares cleanly against any other proposal. Working with a vague one-page quote from another firm? Send it over. ELG will identify what is missing.

  • 03

    Homes and whole buildings

Single-room renovations for homeowners. Full unit turnovers for property managers. The same crew, scaled staffing, one invoice per site per month.

  • 04

Crews that live in the region

Our teams live across the GTA. The day starts on your site, not on the highway. Closer crews mean faster mobilization, tighter site control, and a better result.

06 / Process

From first call
to finished build.

  1. 01

    Walk-through

We visit the space, measure, and ask what you want it to do. Direct answers on site. No deferring to a remote design team.

  2. 02

    Quote

Drawings, material specifications, itemized pricing, and a draw schedule. No catch-all line items. You see exactly what is included before signing.

  3. 03

    Permits

Most renovations do not require permits. For those that do, including basement suites, structural changes, and additions, ELG handles drawings, application, and inspections directly with the municipality.

  4. 04

    Build

Construction begins on the contracted start date. Weekly updates include site photos. You are contacted only for decisions that affect the build, not for routine check-ins.

08 / Property managers

Multi-unit portfolios.
One contract.

If you manage a portfolio, you already have seven trades on speed dial. You also know which two reliably answer the phone. ELG aims to be the only number you need to keep. Unit turnovers, quarterly preventive maintenance, and after-hours tenant calls. One scope. One invoice per building, per month.

  • 01

    Per-unit ROI

Know which turnovers pay back. Per-unit numbers, no guesswork.

  • 02

    Quarterly maintenance

Plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and building envelope. Documented and scheduled.

  • 03

    After-hours response

    Any issue affecting tenants. Handled.

  • 04

    One invoice

Per building, per month. Site photos attached.

09 / Fit check

Not every project
is our project.

We would rather identify a mismatch on the first call than three weeks into the build. Here is the honest assessment.

You’re a fit if…
  • You want one team accountable for the whole build, not five numbers when something breaks.
  • You want every line item costed before you sign.
  • You’d rather pay fair and finish on time than win the lowest quote and dispute it for months.
  • Your project is in the Greater Toronto Area.
You’re probably not if…
  • You’re shopping for the lowest quote in the city. ELG won’t be it. By design.
  • You want to manage your own subcontractors and coordinate schedules. That’s a different service.
  • You expect post-contract scope additions at no extra cost.
  • Your project is more than 90 minutes outside the GTA. Our crews go home at night.

11 / Questions

Frequently
asked.

Why is your quote higher than what I am seeing online?

Because ours includes the full scope. Lower-cost quotes typically contain catch-all lines for finishes or materials and bill the difference later. Send any competing quote. ELG will walk through it line by line and show what is missing along with the likely mid-project cost.

How fast can you start?

Timing depends on the scope. Small bathrooms and paint refreshes are typically 2 to 3 weeks out. Kitchens and basements, 4 to 6 weeks. New construction and additions take longer. If you are working to a move-in date, share it on the first call. You receive a clear yes or no, not a maybe.

Do you take small jobs?

Yes, within the GTA and beyond a single-day handyman call. Small jobs are welcome. The exception is travel-heavy short scopes, for example 45 minutes of driving each way for a three-hour job, where the math does not work for either side.

Who do I actually talk to?

One project manager from quote through handoff. Not a call centre. Not a rotating contact. You receive a direct cell number.

What if we change our mind mid-project?

Change orders happen. When they do, you receive them in writing before any work begins. New scope, new price, and a new timeline where applicable, all approved by you in writing. Nothing is settled at the end of the project.
